Iris Folding

Good Monday morning
Last week was a busy one, I found a book on Iris Folding which is something I haven’t done for a very long time.  It was fun to rediscover this skill and use up some of my lovely paper off-cuts (I’m sure you know the sort of thing, bits that aren’t really big enough to do anything significant with but far too nice to throw away!).
I hope you enjoy the end results.

Memory Books

Hi everyone,
This last week I have been making some Memory Books which, as you can see from the pictures, are 6inch square with scalloped edges.  I like making small scrap books which are for only one event like someone’s birthday, a christening or just a fun day out with friends.
I hope you enjoy them - it’s all about the paper for me and I think the paper on these books is beautiful.  Stay in and be warm in this awful weather if you can.

Jewellery Gifts

As I mentioned in last week’s blog, during the lead up to, and over, the Christmas period I started to make some jewellery.  Two of my friends have had “bigish” birthdays recently (you know the sort, we love the party but not the number of candles on the cake) and I wanted to give them something I have put time and love into.  So below are photos of them wearing their gifts.

Since then I have made some more pieces for the fun of it. They, and hopefully others, will be on my stalls in the coming months – I hope you like them as much as I do.  More details on the Jewellery Page.

More paper stuff soon – promise!    Jo x

NEW YEAR

Hi there,
Well, it’s been awhile since my last post and apologies for that. Things all got a bit hectic what with preparing for, and attending, Christmas Fairs in the lead up to the Big Day. If we spoke at any of the Fairs, it was great to catch up with you and, if not, let’s hope we do in the coming year. Below are a couple of photos of the Briar Patch stall at the recent fairs – do let me know if anything catches your eye!

I hope that you had a happy & healthy holiday season. Do keep in touch, I have been experimenting with some new styles of jewellery and will be posting the results next week; I hope you will like it.
