21st Birthday

Good Morning

I finished a commission this week for my friend Mayen’s daughter’s 21st birthday invitations.  We started with a conversation on colours and feel for the occasion, I then made some samples for them to pull apart and get further ideas from.  From that we decided on the final invitation but it did take sometime to fine a pink that we thought would work and come in a double-sided paper.

The finished item is below and I think it looks great – grown up but still young and bright with just the right shade of pink.  I hope you like them because the fun is finding what is right for you and the consultation process.

Victorian Tea

Hi Everyone

What a beautiful morning, if a bit cold. I decided to make a Victorian Tea pot and cups, what with Mother’s Day being just around the corner. I was so impressed with how the tea pot turned out, if a little surprised at the size. It stands about 11 inches tall – very imposing for a tea pot!

The Tea Cups are just about in proportion at 3 inches tall and, although the papers I chose were something of an unknown quantity, they turned out better than I hoped they would. I hope you like them too.

Cup Cake Boxes

Good Morning everyone

I have had a horrible cold this last week and so, to cheer myself up, I have made some Cup Cake boxes. They are much bigger than I thought they would be, but were so much fun to make and decorate. The inside area of the box is large enough to take a scarf or some chocolate for a great gift. You could, of course, always bake a cup cake to put inside!

Note-Lets

Hi
During the last week I realised that I like to receive cards and notes from friends, they could be “Thank You’s” or “Just thinking of you” notes. It is a real pleasure to receive them, either by post or simply having them drop through your letter box. So I have been making some note-lets which are multi-purpose, and pretty, that I would like to give to my friends as a “thank you”.  Let me know what you think: fun idea or naff?

Children Cards

Happy Spring morning

Over this last week I realised that I haven’t made any small children’s cards for sometime.  Once the ideas took hold it was hard to decide what would be most fun for little ones.  So colour , texture and animals (and cuteness!) came out on top.  I hope you like these as much as I do.
