Easter Weekend
and I find I haven’t had time to complete any of the creations I have started
this week – time does fly.
However, in
keeping with the holiday theme I thought I would share with you this veritable
treasure trove of all things bead-related that I discovered on holiday last
year in Morocco .
From the outside
this looked like an ordinary jewellery shop buried deep in one of the souks.
But, unlike other jewellery shops, this one sold all the individual components
as well as the finished articles. Single beads, strands of beads, findings –
you name it, they had more than I could take in.
The exact
amounts involved have been conveniently lost in the mists of time but all I
will say is that the proprietor had started making discounts before I had finished
assembling my haul. If you’ve ever been to Morocco, you’ll know that’s not how
bartering normally happens!
The moral of the
story is: you never know where you might find your next crafting treasure!
