Halloween 3rd Part

Hey, Good Morning

You will all no doubt be relieved to hear that this is the last posting for my Halloween stuff (although I could keep going!).

I have had great fun this week making my Haunted House, it’s the biggest project I have tackled so far and, although it was a bit tricky in places, just so enjoyable once it was underway. As you can (hopefully) see, it lights up with a full size battery candle. I also made some lanterns which will be fun to take Trick or Treating, they’re safe too as they use a battery-powered tea light.

Next up were some very quick and fun glasses for kids. I wanted you to see them being worn so I took them along to a local drama group. The kids were great, and their teacher, Jacqui Hawkes, can be contacted at stageonedrama@gmail.com if your kids are would-be models or just enjoy having loads of fun, so thanks Jacqui.

Also made some bunting which I think will look great hanging around your Halloween party and you will, of course, need a love potion to make the night end in absolute success!

The final photo is of all this stuff in the Manx Crafter’s Gift Shop, details of opening times on my contact page.

Love to hear what you think.

Halloween - 1st part

Morning All

Very excited last week as I started preparing for Halloween – which I just love. I hope you do too because I will be making Halloween themed things for the next couple of weeks.

This week I have started with some ‘Sweet Characters’ filled with sweets of course, ‘Treat Bags’ for collecting sweets and of course a collection of ‘Coffins’ - a must have for the season.

My biggest problem is I have too many ideas, so any help in keeping them under control would be gratefully appreciated.  Look forward to hearing from you.

Topiary Trees

Welcome back to the blog!

Over the last week or so I have been working away on a commission that I received at the Royal Show.  I have been making Topiary Trees for a christening which took place last Sunday, and I am sure it was a beautiful affair.  The trees did take some time to complete but I think they were worth it so today, for your viewing pleasure, is a forest of Blue topiary trees!

I think they would also look very good for wedding table settings - in any colour you could think of.

Jewellery for Fun

Morning All

I have had a lovely week with friends coming across for the Manx Grand Prix, but all good things must come to an end and they have returned to the UK for another year.

Because it’s difficult to get stuck into paper projects with a house full of people, I have been working on my jewellery as you can just pick it up and put it down without any consequences – which is not always the case with paper!

So here for you viewing is what I have achieved. I hope you like it, as usual I would very much enjoy hearing from you if you have the time.
