Friends Cards

Good morning

On this windy morning I am glad to be indoors and getting ready to do some crafting.  Last week I had a run of card making.  Nothing gives me greater pleasure than making a card to suit a friend - so I am sharing with you some of my latest efforts to make my friends happy on their birthdays.

I hope you like them too – don’t forget to let me know what you think.

Paper is great

Hello again

Although I have been busy making things this week (and they will be appearing in the blog), I thought today’s blog would be a bit different and concentrate on raw materials rather than finished products.

As those of you who have been following the blog for any length of time will know, I am an absolute paper addict and will never turn down the offer of more paper for my stash. So, you can probably imagine how happy I was to be given a pile of old wall paper sample books by a friend (the pictures might give you a clue!). There are just so many uses for this sort of paper – bags, cards, boxes, bunting, if you can think of it you can use it – that said it’s hard to know where to start. The good news is that manufacturers issue these books on a regular basis to shops so, if you feel the need for a life time’s supply of free paper, why not ask around and see if any shops in your area are getting rid of their old sample books?

Finished stuff next week – promise!

!st Craft Fair of 2015

Hi Everyone
I attended the first Craft Fair of the year last Saturday and it went well, perhaps not as many people as we would have liked but it was cold so I'm grateful for those who ventured out – thanks.
I made a few bits and pieces for Valentine’s Day, some cards and animal chocolate boxes which I loved.
I also completed a new necklace (and matching earrings), which has a hand-made catch in stunning fuchsia wire (unfortunately not showing) and, to my delight, the necklace sold on the day.
Enjoy your week; I would love to see you comments.

Valentine's Day

Good Morning Everyone

I hope you have all had a great start to the New Year and, like me, are full of wonderful ideas and plans for 2015.

Since my last post, I have been experimenting with different techniques and materials which has been fun, but not many finished items to show for it!

I am getting ready for my first Craft Fair of the year this Saturday the 7th - with a Valentine’s Day theme - at Corrin Hall, Peel. So I have been busy making a wreath, cards and an up-cycled pot (which was pre-ordered – a great way to start the year!).

It would be great to see you at the Craft Fair if you are in the area.
