Coffee Cup with Treats

Good Morning

Well, this weekend saw me at my final Craft event for they year and, if you were at the Laxey Working Men’s Institute, I hope you had a good time.

As part of the event I needed to make something to give as a prize for the raffle so I made a Christmas coffee mug and filled it with sweet treats, I was pleased with the results.  I also found in my stash of “necessary stuff” some lip balm, so Made a holder from a pattern for a Santa and snowman, which I think worked rather well.  Let me know what you think.

Gingerbread Houses with Candy Canes

Good Morning

This week I had such a fun time making a gingerbread house which has candy canes coming out of the roof.  It has started me in the Christmas spirit and will take pride of place at my last Christmas fair for the year.

I will be at the Laxey Christmas Market on Sunday 19th November, I hope to see you there as it is always a family fun weekend, poster below.

Wire Woven Jewellery

Good Morning

I hope that you are all coping with the darker days which have arrived with a vengeance.

This week I have been trying out a new skill with wire kumihimo using coils of pre made wire.  It is an interesting technique and I enjoyed the results (after only a few false starts) and only wasting a small amount of wire!

If you were at the St Johns Motor Neurone Disease fair, it was a great day in spite of the weather, I hope you enjoyed it.

As always I love to hear from you all at anytime.

Christmas Tags

Morning All

I made gift tags this week, some which tie on with ribbon and others with have envelopes to go with them.  However, all of them get written on the back so it makes it quick and easy To complete.  The ribbon tags are all of a traditional nature but the larger ones with envelopes are Christmas trees in modern bright colours – something for everyone I hope.

If you were at the Port Erin fair on Saturday then I hope you had a nice time. This week, on Saturday, I will be in St John’s at the Motor Neurone Disease fair, so come in and say Hi, details below.

Christmas Card Holders

Good Afternoon

This week I got to thinking about displaying all the cards we receive over Christmas and, looking around the shops, there seem to be lots of solutions – mainly involving string! So, after ploughing through my stash of “one day” bits and pieces, I have come up with a solution that I think does the job and is nice and bright. It would be great to hear what you think.

If you were at the MSPCA fair on Sunday then I hope you had a nice time. This week, on Saturday, I will be in Port Erin so come in and say Hi, details below.
