Easter

Happy Spring Morning

Easter is just around the corner and I have decided that Carrots are the way to go this year – so I have made some in two different sizes and I love them.  You can fill them with your chosen sweet treats - be they small eggs or jelly babies.

If you want to give something a little more traditional then I have created this Egg shaped box which I think is fresh and pretty.

Next weekend’s craft fair is on Saturday 5th March, at St Catherine’s Hall, Port Erin. Starting at 10:00 and finishing at 3:30 – I hope to see you there.

Drop Gemstones

Good Morning Everybody

I have been playing with some drop shaped gemstones this week, so I thought I would show you what the outcome has been.

The first is a lovely necklace and earrings set, very simple and showcasing the Prehnite faceted drops.  The second are some cuffs with drops to make flowers, which I think look great and are as follows:  Red Cord, Blue Quartzite & White Agate, Pink Cord, Purple Magnesite & Pink Quartzite & White Cord, Carnelian & Pink Moonstone.

Don’t forget there is a craft fair coming up on Saturday 5th March, at St Catherine’s Hall, Port Erin. Starting at 10:00 and finishing at 3:30 – I hope to see you there.

Cut Animals

Happy sunny morning

With spring in the air this past week, I have been noticing photos of cute animals appearing in the media - so I have made some new notebooks. I think they are sparkly and bright, and hopefully will make preparing your lists a little bit more fun! They are quite quick to make; it just takes me a long time to choose the paper so they have different personalities.

I have also been looking at the bare wall in my work room and got to thinking about the “wall ducks” that were so popular in the 50’s and 60’s. My take on the theme is these birds in flight using paper with 60’s style prints.

My first craft fair of the year is only just around the corner on Saturday 5th March, at St Catherine’s Hall, Port Erin. Starting at 10:00 and finishing at 3:30 – I hope to see you there.

Sky Blue Hoops for Spring

Morning All

This week I wanted to stretch my wire wrapping abilities using small gemstones, so I decided on a delicate cuff and hoop ear Rings made with Sky Blue Apatite.

I have used memory wire for both the cuff and the ear rings so that I didn’t have to worry about keeping a round shape while I worked, and silver 0.25 mil wire to keep the delicate look for the piece.

I think it works but it would be great to get your opinion – so let me know if you have time.
