Holiday Jewellery

Good Morning

Fun holiday jewellery was the theme for this past week. I wanted to have something that I could take away with me, so it had to be light and fun but also a little bit of wow as well.

I came up with three sets that I think fit the bill, so do let me know what you think. The first was made from pretty Turquoise & Orange Coral, and I think would look great on the beach or sight seeing. The second was Ocean Jasper and Moonstone, a heavier and more substantial piece - still great for the day but also perfect for a casual evening out. The third is Quartz Faceted Pink/ Lavender and purple coated Pyrite, for that calm night out.

I will be at the May Day celebration in Castletown on Monday the 2nd of May, you will find me in the Civic Centre from 12:00 until 4:00; I hope to see you there.

Fun Pot

Morning All

Looking through my pot for up-cycling I came across a tin which I thought would make a great receptacle for pencils or other important stuff. So I found a pattern which I purchased some time ago for this great Scarecrow. I needed to tweak the sizing but I am very pleased with the result. Let me know what you think.

If you are looking from my boxes then you can find them at Cocoa 68, in Ramsey’s premier Italian chocolate shop, yum. Find the link to Maria’s Facebook page on my contacts page.

I was at the Braddan Church Hall last Saturday so, if you dropped by, thanks for coming and I hope you found something you liked.

I will be at the May Day celebration in Castletown on the 2nd of May, you will find me in the Civic Centre from 12:00 until 4:00; I hope to see you there.

Summertime Coral

Hey, morning everyone

Last week I was playing with my stash of coral. Ethically sourced, it was gathered from places that used to be covered with oceans and that have now receded, providing us with lovely pieces to be used as we see fit.

I was thinking of ideas for holiday jewellery that is light but fun and I am very happy with the results. Please do let me know what you think if you have the time.

I will be at Braddan Church Hall, Douglas on Saturday this week, 16th of April 10:30 to 3:30 - hope to see you then.

Paper Leaves

Happy (or wet) Spring Morning

After much trial and error I managed to finish my paper leaf necklace and I am very pleased with it. I don’t think it will be a sale piece but I will enjoy it for what it is - a piece of art.

I also have a new outlet for my jewellery pieces, JJ Ribbons in Laxey, and attached are some photos showing them all beautifully displayed. JJ Ribbons sell lots of lovely craft things, fabric, wool, buttons and wall paper. They also make curtains and run all sorts of craft classes, if you are in the area do drop in and take a look.

If you called in at Port Erin on Saturday, I hope you saw something you liked and had a warming cup of tea and a cake, I know I did.

I will be at Braddan Church Hall, Douglas on Saturday 16th of April 10:30 to 3:30 - hope to see you then.
