Elegant Jewellery

Good morning everyone

This week I have completed a necklace that I have wanted to make for some time - using some lovely box chain and pink shell pearl beads.

I had a few false starts because I struggled with what medium to use to attach the beads to the chain.  I didn’t want it to be visible but it would need enough strength to get a high tension on the beads, allowing it to sit right against the chain.

In the end I used beading thread, almost the exact colour of the chain and with a dab of glue on the knots at each end, which disappears inside the chain links.

I will be in Port Erin, at St Catharine’s Church Hall next Saturday from 10:30 to 3:30, if you are in the area call in and say Hi.

Don’t forget to let me know what you think and what you are up to.

Bookmarks & Notelets

Hi there

Well I have had a difficult week or so with my computer playing up - with the result that it needed to be totally rebuilt. So, after spending a lot of time this weekend putting software back where it should be, I have only had a small amount of time to actually craft.

I did, however, have some fun making bookmarks (that I think will go down well) and a batch of small, four inch notelets for those small thoughts for friends.

Don’t forget to let me know what you think and what you are up to.

Bling Necklace & Ear Rings

Good morning everyone

Over the course of this last week I have been working on this lovely gold chain & green quartz shard necklace and ear rings. I have been through more than one configuration and originally wanted a pale green silk threaded through the chain but in the end it just didn’t work. I am, however, very pleased with the end result and would as always be more than happy to hear your opinions.

Have a great week and let me know what is giving you inspiration at this time of the year.

Cards Complicated & Simple

Hi Everyone

Well, would you look at that? I am still enjoying card making so early in the year! I have made some more birthday cards and a “not quite” get well card.  It is fun thinking what cards will make friends and family smile and then hearing that they did.  So, enjoy the simple cards right along with the complicated ones and hope they get the same smile as you hope they do.

Don’t forget to let me know what you think and what you are up to.
