Garden Necklace

Happy autumn

Well, would you believe that I have finally finished this beautiful piece of jewellery over the weekend.  This necklace has seen my work bench on and off for about three months.  It is the most interesting and hardest thing I have made to date, I am very proud to have finished it.

It is made from lemon quartz, and gold and green wire in various gauges with the neckline being a kumihimo piece made from beige suedette cord and gold satin cord.  The three flower-like drops are what inspired me to make this necklace, they are from curtain braid which was given to me by a good friend who is a curtain maker and came from a sample book.

I really would like to hear what you think of this necklace.
