Stacker Rings

Hi Everyone

I am finally on the home straight of a big paper project and it will be featuring on next week’s blog.

So, this week I have made stacker rings on elastic so they will fit as many sizes as possible and I have varied both the colours and designs.  It was so much fun making them and I know it will be even more fun to wear them.

Don’t forget to check the “Where to find me” page for all my upcoming dates.

Let me know what you think and what you have been making.

Soft & Easy to Wear Silk

Hi, good morning

Lately I have been looking for some new ideas and I rediscovered my gorgeous sari silk. So I made this long necklace which is soft and easy to wear, and looks just great with bulky sweaters over this protracted cold weather.

I also made this fun kumihimo bracelet with some seed beads that I am pleased with, it is simple but very pretty I think.

Don’t forget to check the “Where to find me” page for all my upcoming dates.

Let me know what you think and what you have been making.

Spanner Art Animals

Morning All

This week the blog is featuring another batch of my other half’s “spanner art”. I’m told the two creations in box frames are a pair of sea snakes (which started life as spanners for a sewing machine tool kit!) and something that looks vaguely pike-like. The other is a parrot which, in addition to the usual polishing, engraving and colouring of the metal, has had some simple pinstriping added for the wings. I think the parrot’s background really sets the colours off nicely.

Next week, it’ll be back to the usual paper/ jewellery creations!

Don’t forget to check the “Where to find me” page for all my upcoming dates.

Let me know what you think and what you have been making.

Spring Pearls

Hi Everyone

In the cold of this last week I have been firmly staying inside as much as possible!  So I have made this beautiful apricot cultured pearl necklace and ear rings. The colour is just so pretty but I wanted to do something with a modern twist so I spent some time making the pendent with silver keshi pearls in a flower motif.  Once I was happy with the necklace I then proceeded to make the ear rings, which I am really happy with.

If you were brave enough to venture out to the craft fair at Port Erin last Saturday then thanks for making it and I hope you enjoyed yourself.

Let me know what you think and what you have been making.
