Summer Fun at its Best

Hi Everyone

To prepare for last weekend’s Southern Agricultural Show, I spent time going through my boxes of jewellery and paper to see what I would be taking, and what was missing. I decided that missing from the stash was some pocket money jewellery, and a fairy house.

So, over the last week I made a new Bee Fairy House, in much brighter colours than the last one, and I just love it. I also made some stretchy bracelets and ribbon necklaces, with square seed beads and glass pendants from my stash.  I hope you like them, to me they are summer fun at its best.

Unfortunately we had very high winds and a lot of rain at the Show, so if you braved the weather to visit I hope you had a good time.

Don’t forget to let me know what you have been making.

Carved Shell Flowers

Morning All

This week I have gone for a simple summer holiday jewellery suite.  I came across this pretty strand of carved shell flowers in my stash which just spoke to me of a beach holiday.

So, keeping it easy to wear, I added some Heamatite spacer beads, threaded the necklace and accompanied it with ear rings and a ring.

I will be at the Southern Agricultural show this weekend - 28 & 29 July, I hope to see you there.

Don’t forget to let me know what you have been making.

Hand Made Bag

Morning All

Well, this week I have finally finished my cross-the-body bag which I have been working on for some time.  I used a calico shell and a curtain remnant for the lining.

The fantasy shoe was hand painted by me but the design was one from Sandra Wright on the ‘Fabulous Shoes’ CD from Katy Sue Designs.

As I am not a natural seamstress it has taken me much longer then I thought it would but I am very pleased with the result - I will however not be making any more!

Don’t forget to let me know what you have been making in the sunshine.

Quick and Fun

Hi Everyone

Not much time to play this week so I have made a gorgeous necklace using Morganite and black onyx rice beads with rose gold findings, also two pairs of tassel ear rings - just for fun.

I was at the British Legion poppy appeal day in Colby on Sunday so, if you were there, I hope you had fun in the sun, it was a great day.

Let me know what you are making in the sunshine, long may it last.

Dramatic and Monochrome

Good morning

I have been working on this piece for a while now and it is finally finished.  It has taken me a few tries to be happy with the end results.  The aim was to be focused on the dramatic but to stay in monochrome to see what would happen.

I think I have achieved those goals but I would like to know what you think, and hope are having fun in the sun with whatever you are making.
