Cards for Friends

It’s Spring everyone!

How great is it to be able to say that Spring has arrived? And that means loads more sun – I hope.

So the wedding and Birthday card season has arrived and this week I have been making my first card of the year, with a lot more to come.

The wedding card is for a friend from all the colleagues at work so it is an A4 card to give everyone a chance to wish the happy couple well.  The other two cards are for birthdays which I know will be well received.

My next outing will be the Easter Fair on 13th and 14th of April in Chester Street, Douglas - so this coming week will be all about Bunnies!

Let me know what you are making and I hope you are having fun.

Mother of the Bride

Good Morning

I had fun this week making some wedding jewellery - suitable for the mother of the bride was what I was aiming for, you will have to let me know if I hit the mark.

I used some lovely rose quartz nuggets with silver filigree bead caps, just keeping it simple but also very elegant and pretty.  I am told that rose quartz is a calming stone, just what the mother of the bride needs, so let’s hope it works.

I was in Laxey at the Working Men’s Institute last Saturday so, if you braved the rain and wind, I hope you had a good time and found something beautiful to take home with you.

Easter Wreath

Happy Spring

I guess you will all know that Easter is only a month away so I have completed my first Easter make for the year. This wreath is made from ribbon and styrofoam eggs which are covered with spring washi tape.  I think the result is bright and fun and will make my front door look great when I hang it later in the month.

It was the first craft fair of the year last Saturday so if you called in I hope you found something to your liking and, if not, I will be in Laxey on March 16th so maybe I will see you there.

Are you making anything for Easter?  I would love to hear about it.
