Hair Clips

Good morning everyone

I have made some hair clips this week - I began by thinking I would just do a couple and ended up making around ten! They were super fun to make as I started with pressed brass plates and then used nail polish to colour (enamel) them with some small crystals as embellishment.

I think they look great and I will have them on my stall at the next fair.

As always, it would be great if you got in touch and let me have your thoughts, ideas and comments.

Big is Beautiful

Hi Everyone

This week I have used some lovely chunky blue/ green Lapis Lazuli and purple Magnesite to make a necklace, earrings and bracelet set.  Although it’s an unusual combination I like the contrast very much.

I am also working on some bridal pieces which I hope to show you in a few weeks.  If you called into the Laxey Fair on Saturday then I hope you found something you liked enough to take home with you.

As always it would be great if you got in touch and let me have your thoughts, ideas and comments.

Paper at Work

Morning Everyone

It is the TT Road Races on the Isle of Man this last week so not much time to do any crafting.  However, I was asked to decorate a tin for our dress down charity and this seemed like the ideal time to get it done.  I also completed a large A2 card for a member of staff who is retiring in the next couple of weeks.

I am next at the Laxey Working Men’s Institute on Saturday 15th June - I look forward to seeing you there. Of course let me know what you are making and any comments you have on my creations.

Mother of the Bride

Good Morning

As we are well into the wedding season, this week I have made a lovely Mother of the Bride piece from rose quartz and fluorite flowers.  Rose quartz is said to have charming properties so I thought that would be helpful as well as beautiful!  I have matched this with some fun rose quartz ear rings for a little bit of the unexpected.

I am next at the Laxey Working Men’s Institute on Saturday 15th June - I look forward to seeing you there. Of course let me know what you are making and any comments you have on my creations.
