Leaf Necklace

Good morning

While looking in my stash I came across the most lovely fancy jasper carved leaf pendant.  I decided to create a shadow of it in black 2mm aluminium wire; this is very light weight to offset the weight of the leaf.

I then created a neck piece to hang it from and this is made up of tigers eye, green quartz and serpentine chips with the end result being a very autumnal feel - great for winter wear.

Please let me know what you are doing during this awful winter weather.

Bracelets Galore

Hi Everyone

I am starting to build up my craft fair jewellery before all the fairs start in March, so this last week or so I have been making some gemstone bracelets.  I have made three different types which I hope you will like.

The first is a straight forward bracelet using various gem stones that are cut into plain wheels, the second is an elastic bracelet made with 3mm faceted rounds and the third is bars of gemstone on a sterling silver slider bracelet.

I think this is great selection and will give my customers an interesting choice.

Please let me know what you are doing during this awful weather.

Freshwater Cultured Pearls

Good morning

I have been playing with freshwater cultured pearls this week and I have finished with two creations.

The first is simple but elegant, a single pearl on a Sterling Silver bail and chain. They are in both pale blue and pink, just so pretty.

The second design uses stunning purple cultured pearls and 925 SS overlaid with gold heart chain in a wrap-a-round bracelet, with matching ear rings.  I love these because they are a fun and modern twist on pearls

Please let me know what you think and what you are making.

Climbing Rope

Happy New Year

I hope that everyone had a great holiday season and I guess we are all back to work by now.

I am starting this year with a new medium for me and that is climbing rope. I saw it some time ago used by designer Gemma Crowe and I have used her designs as inspiration for my pieces.

The first is in navy with aluminium scales in graduation at the front which gives lots of movement, and hidden amongst the scales are some black coated gems which sparkle when it moves.

The second is a two colour necklace in navy and dark green, and features a beautiful abalone shell, which pops with colour as it moves.

I hope you like my first makes of the year, please let me know what you think and what you are making.
