From Fuzzy Designs
Although most of my Spanner Art has involved decorating
spanners themselves, sometimes they don’t need more than a polish to take their
place in a creation.
In this case, the spanner in question had obviously
led a hard life (one set of jaws had been welded and machined for some unknown
purpose) but polishing it brought out a wonderful shine that seemed a shame to
cover.
So, instead I simply mounted it at an angle
and worked some pinstriping around it in contrasting colours. The biggest
headache was getting the pinstriping accurately mirrored on both sides of the
spanner but a piece of tracing paper proved invaluable in sorting that out!
I attended the 1st craft fair for
the year on Saturday so if called in then I hope you have a great time and
found something nice to take home. We would
love to hear your views also, what you are making?
