Beryl Jewellery Set

Happy Monday Everyone

The last week I have been trying some new jewellery ideas.  I don’t usually make full suites of jewellery so this is my attempt to do so; I am very happy with the results and hope you like them too.

I used a strand of diamond shaped beryl as the colours are beautiful and I think look both spring-like and sophisticated.  I then used gold rainbow hematite in the jewellery to bring out that sparkle that we all crave and to let the beryl’s individual colours come through.

Don’t forget to let me know what you think of my creations and what you are making.

Upcycling Packaging

Hi Everyone

The last few days I have been upcycling some small boxes which I have been given by friends.  It is very important to me that all gifts are given in lovely packaging.  Here are some from my latest range so you can see how easy it is and hopefully give it a go.

Have fun and enjoy yourself, let me know what you think of my creations and what you are making.

Green Line Frosted Jasper

Happy Easter Weekend

This last week I have been trying to do stuff that I haven’t done before.  I have been looking at lots of video tutorials and I chose to make this necklace based on components demonstrated by Mark Smith on Jewellery Maker.

The main stone is green line frosted jasper and I used alternative gold and green wire with matching colour coated pyrite.  I made the small gold pyrite pieces into beady beads, which I think really look great and add lots of movement to the piece.

I am very happy with the outcome but don’t forget to let me know what you think of my creations and what you are making.

3D Legs of Man

Hi Everyone

This morning I am sitting by the window and I can’t believe what a gorgeous day it is, who would guess that last week was so grey and cold!

At the moment I am trying to stay positive and look at the year ahead.  Like the rest of the world the Isle of Man is on lock down so our tourist season is most definitely on hold.  However, with this in mind I have created a new item in my “jam jar” series and that is the three legs of Man in front of a photo of the Laxey Wheel.  I made the legs 3D by creating a mould from a key ring I have, then used air drying paper modelling clay and finally painting them.

It was fun, fast and hopefully they will sell well when the visitors return to the Island.

Don’t forget to let me know what you think of my creations and what you are making.
