Modern Cultured Pearls

Hi, Good morning

Once again I felt the urge to use some of my beautiful cultured pearls, but this week I wanted to make something contemporary.  So I have used two shades of peach pearls with silver coated ovals and a magnetic clasp to make this stunning necklace and ear rings.

I think they are fresh and modern and will look great worn casually or for that special occasion.

I hope you like them as much as I do, just perfect for that night out! I would like to know what you think, and what you are making in your crafty world.

Hair Pins

Morning Everyone

Over the last little while I have been making hair pins and they have been a lot of fun to do.  They take much longer then you might imagine because I use small faceted gems (2 or 3mm) so that they have lots of sparkle against your hair.

I’ve used four different styles so hopefully there will be something for everyone. They are: open flowers in antique bronze, rounds in rose gold and antique bronze, silver small flowers and various colour snap clips.

I hope you like them as much as I do, just perfect for that night out! I would like to know what you think, and what you are making in your crafty world.

Keshi Pearls

Hi

I have been looking at my cultured pearl collection and very often I can’t bring myself to use them but, this last week, I decided that I would make a suite with aquamarine, clear quartz and white cultured keshi pearls - all put together with 925 SS findings.

The necklace has three strands, two of aquamarine and one of clear quartz, with the keshi pearls.  The bracelet has two strands, one of each, and the ear rings are simple pearl drops.

These are so beautiful and perfect for a wedding party, or a very big night out! I would like to know what you think, and what you are making in your crafty world.

Summer Fun

Good morning

At the weekend I attended my first craft fair since lockdown and it was great.  We had a reasonable attendance and many hours to catch up with fellow crafters – so good.

This week has been a simple making week using one of the latest trends: pineapples.  These charms have beautiful detail and they are just so much fun. Using both silver and gold plate over base metal, I have made them into necklace and ear rings.

I also found some interesting gold plated chain in my stash so, using some clear quartz, I made some ear rings and a bracelet which has lots of movement, and is so fun.

It is all so bright and summery it makes me smile! Please let me know what you think and what you are making in your crafty world.
