 Summer is certainly putting on the very best for us but just remember to take care of your skin.

I have been thinking of this beautiful blue chalcedony which I have had for a little while.  The colour is just perfect for summer and I couldn’t resist making jewellery that is easy to wear but is also elegant.

The first is a necklace using bars of blue, curved bars of silver and chain links, the second uses the same bars but adds the perfect drop of onyx in the same blue.  I think this jewellery is perfect to go with jeans or linen for that cool, sophisticated look.

I will be at Southern Agricultural Show, on both Saturday 31th July and Sunday 1^st August, this weekend on the Isle of Man - so if you are around please call into the Manx Craft Guild tent and say Hi.

Garden Illuminations

Good morning

I hope you are enjoying the sunny weather and it’s not too hot for you all.

Over the last few weeks I have been working on some card buildings to provide summertime illumination for evenings in the garden.  They are so pretty and I am very pleased with them.

We have the following buildings: a lilac lighthouse, a blue Victorian house and finally a garden folly in pink.  The battery candles shine through all the windows to bring warmth and comfort on a summer evening (or even a winter evening!).

Chips & Nugget Joy

 Hi Everyone

 This week I have made a 3 piece set using serpentine chips and nuggets in illusion jewellery.

The pieces have been made by knotting the gems individually onto the thread and then bundling each thread together to give the big bold statement.  The jewellery is light and easy to wear and perfect for the summer.

Matt Crackled Agate

 Good morning

This jewellery set is one of the favourite things that I have made in a while. It has a really nice weight to it when on and I love the matt finish of the dyed agates.

The necklace is made with rose gold plated box chain and three sizes of matt crackled multi-colour dyed agate.  The gems feel wonderful on your skin and the texture is so interesting to look at.
