Lava Rock

Good morning

I have had lava rock in my stash for some time and so this week I sat down and had a play.  I made two suites of jewellery which, although they use the same stones, look very different.

The first set is made from blue and multi coloured metallic coated lava rock and it is very simple threading, but the stones are impactful all on their own.

For the second set I used rose gold metallic coated lava rock with carnelian puffy drops for a bigger impact, and I really like the way this sits on the neckline.

It would be great to hear from you, so let me know if you like the makes and what you have been producing.

Always Hearts

Hi Everyone

With Valentine’s Day now just around the corner, this week I turned my mind to making something suitable for the celebrations.

Not wanting to do anything too much, I kept it simple with some wish bracelets and a ring and earring set made from memory wire, and featuring grey shell pearls and pretty hearts.

Shell Brooches

Good morning

This week I have made some brooches from really lovely carved shell - some are abalone and the other is shell pearl.  They all have Swarovski centres which make for that touch of sparkle.

I have also found some slices of agate in pink & blue which I have threaded onto 925 sterling silver chains, I think that they look fun and are easy to wear.

It would be great to hear from you, so let me know if you like the makes and what you have been producing.

Spring Flowers

Happy new Year Everyone

I hope that you have all had a great holiday season and are now feeling refreshed and inspired.

After some thought I decided to make some roses out of marquee shaped pink crackled quartz.  Having experienced some trial and errors, I think the finished flowers are really pretty and when I used them to create a necklace using citrine and green adventurine chips for the neckline, the spring quality of the piece was very pleasing.

I would love to hear what you have been creating in the last few weeks.
