Box of Flowers

Hi everyone

Sorry I missed posting last week, I am now in Australia visiting my family for the first time since the covid outbreak.

Just before I travelled, I made this box of flowers for a friend who was in hospital and was unable to have fresh flowers in her room.  They are made from two colours of green foil card for the box and white for the daisies.

My friend liked them very much and said they made her smile every time she looked at them. They were fun to make and well worth the effort.

The Colour is Green

Morning everyone

Over the last week I have been experimenting: the jewellery that I actually finished and liked is made from hematite flat slices and cubes of pyrite on green aluminium chain.  I made both a necklace and ear rings - they are fun and light to wear with just enough weight from the pyrite to help them to sit correctly when worn.

It was fun to use these components and just go with what was bright and fun, I hope you like the outcome as much as I do.

1920's Flapper Cultured Pearls

Good Morning

I have had in my collection for some time a meter and a half of multi-coloured metallic pearls.  I have been thinking about what to do with them for a while and so I finally decided to knot them into a very long strand, and put chain tassels on each end to be worn (in my mind) in the style of a 1920’s flapper.

While it did take a fair amount of time to knot the silk every 3 pearls, I love the finished necklace and it makes me smile every time I look at it, not to mention when I wear it.

I hope that you are enjoying your own crafting whatever it happens to be.

Making Memories

Hi Everyone

A friend’s daughter got married recently and it made me realise that, as we are all (or most of us) getting out and about again, we will be making new memories - so it was time to make some new memory books.

I think they are great fun and, with a variety of colours and styles, there will hopefully be something for everyone.

Enjoy the sunshine and whatever you are making.
